You've gone through fire and water, 

I know it - I've followed you all the way ... 

ev'ry step you took, ev'ry thought you had 

was known to me - I've seen you through

Come and sit with me, 

let us watch this horror of life, 

the calm when the pain recedes 

will be priceless 

in its own advance ... 

Come, will you not talk to me? 

I have many things to tell you 

of my journey through fire and ice - 

Like a sleeping dragon 

I have passed through the foundations of earth 

- but beware the day when they shall wake me ... 

Rising from a sleep 

as long as this tale, 

and as sad as destiny, 

who shall not marvel at the 

colors of a clear morning
